So..... I have yet to update the picture, but I am going to try to get in the habit of doing this thing again. Not sure who actually reads this, but I am hoping to keep this like a journal to look back on for myself.
We're homeschooling! It's official. Well, as official as you can be when you're "teaching" a preschooler 3 days a week. I had tossed around the idea of "doing" school vs. not, and I came to the conclusion that Sadie just loves to learn and play "school" so we might as well have a crack at it. We're a whopping 3 days in and we haven't hurt each other yet and she seems to be having fun. I haven't gotten an actual curriculum, but I might ease us into that for next year.
I just checked out the Homeschool Building here in Grand Rapids for the first time. That place is a bit dangerous. Sooo many fun things to look at! It will be lots of fun as the girls get older and we can really take advantage of all the resources there.
Oh yeah, we have another little girl. Did I write that before? I don't think I have. Ruby has been with us since December - I can't believe she is almost a year. People always told me time passes faster and faster as you get older and have children and that is totally true. Does it continue to spiral faster with more kids? I'm sure it does.
Ruby is awesome. I am very blessed to have two amazing little girls. She is definitely a different child than her older sister. She's a good baby but she gets feisty when she's mad. I don't think she actually cries when she's upset, she yells at me. I'm glad I can't understand all she is saying right now.
We started going to a new church just before Easter. It's called Daybreak and it's right down the road from us. We finally left Ada Bible - not for any other reason than the distance. It sounds really lame, I know, but we were driving clear across Grand Rapids every week and driving past all kinds of churches within blocks from us. We really love it. We felt really welcomed and the teaching every week is really challenging and I feel like we fit in well.
That's all I can think of for now. Just treading water every day trying to keep up on housework, work, business, hubs and two little kiddos.
